In an effort to reduce pollution and climate change impact, one Norwegian cruise operator will be using dead fish to power some of its ships, reports Phys.org.
How would dead fish fuel ships?
Bryan Nelson writes on Mother Nature Network, “Organic waste of any kind can be mixed to produce a type of fuel known as biogas, which is mostly an amalgam of methane and carbon dioxide.”
Bryan added, “Biogas can also have small amounts of hydrogen sulphide, which can give it a rotten egg smell.”
